The Volkswagen Kombi is an extremely flexible vehicle than can be utilised as a people carrier or van, or a combination of both. This Kombi is available in short, medium and long wheelbase (SWB, MWB and LWB) sizes, low and high roof heights and Crafter and Trendline trim levels.
A sliding door provides flexible access to the vehicle via its flanks. A resilient step helps with easy entry into the back of the vehicle, via two wing doors. Side windows are driver-operated, while sliding windows can be easily opened and closed from within. For added security, the vehicle’s fuel tank filter is secured whenever the passenger door is locked. Steel wheels (16-inch) come as standard but 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels are available as options.
In the vehicle’s Cab, the driver can quickly get comfortable thanks to a multi-way-adjustable seat. Numerous stowage spaces are provided, including a tray located above the vehicle’s windscreen. The Kombi’s versatility owes a lot to its various wheelbase options and roof heights. Each model can seat as few as two occupants (leaving the remaining space for cargo use) or as many as nine people. A wide range of configurations are possible and become more varied as wheelbase size increases. Load capacity ranges from 7,500 litres to 17,000 litres, depending on the model selected.
A range of 2.0-litre diesel engines are available, offering a choice of 81kW, 100kW or 120kW power outputs. CO2 emissions range from 213g/km to 247g/km, while fuel consumption varies between 8.8 l/100km and 8.1 l/100km (depending on the wheelbase and power output chosen). Each option is paired with six-speed manual transmission.
An AM/FM radio, a trip computer, Bluetooth connectivity and USB, SD and AUX inputs come as standard. A wide range of driver aids include Anti-lock Braking System, Brake Assist, Electronic Stabilisation Programme and Traction Control System. Remote central locking (with interior locking) helps to keep the vehicle safe and secure.
