Newmarket Motors are currently interested in recruiting two Apprentice Vehicle Technicians to join our growing team at Newmarket Motors.
The apprenticeship offered will be for a four-year period and will involve both on the job and off the job training and brand training from programme commencement. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally and internationally recognised QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Motor Mechanics - and full Volkswagen certification.
What is a Vehicle Technician?
A Vehicle technician services, diagnoses and resolves technical concerns with passenger and light commercials vehicles.
Carry out routine service and maintenance, inspecting components for wear and tear and documenting findings. You will also test potentially faulty parts, diagnosing any issues and resolving faults.
Supporting the internal departments in the preparation and maintenance of new cars, used cars or loan vehicles.
Working closely with other members of the workshop team to constantly learn and share knowledge.

Entry Requirements
•Minimum age of 16 years.
•You must pass a colour vision eye test.
•Minimum educational requirement of grade D in five subjects in the junior certificate examination or be approved by the pre apprenticeship course.
